COLUMBUS, OH “Council Hearing Tonight on Columbus Bike Laws”
    http://ping.fm/lfRSL
“I don’t have all the details, but among the changes I have heard is
allowing cycles on the sidewalk, treating cycles as pedestrians and limiting
cycles use of the roads. Hopefully I am over-reacting here but when any
government body does things with stealth, everyone should be immediately
    suspicious. “
heres a link to the proposed ordinance:
    http://ping.fm/TRtZJ
the commentator above seems a little over-reactive, especially upon reading
the ordinance itself. however, the news reported this morning that it seems
to require riding on sidewalks, though the law sounds more like it would
allow both road/sidewalk riding. the possibility that sidewalks would become
inundated by bikes, and that the safety of cyclists and pedestrians would be
thus encumbered is reason to follow developments.
